Preparation

One day in the late fall 2007 my friend Carol and I were reminiscing about past visits to Paris. Carol has recently returned from a long visit to France and was feeling homesick. She has visited Paris several times over the past 3-4 years. She started looking for cheap flights and before you know it, we had reservations for June 2008.


Keith and I visited France in June of 2004, as part of the 60th year celebration of the invasion at Normandy. It was a great trip, focused on Normandy and Brittany. At the end of that wonderful experience we stayed in Paris. We were only there for 3 days. We visited a fraction of the sites in Paris and we knew that we would have to return one day.






Keith, Carol and I will be flying out of Newark to Paris on 5/30/08. Carol found us a great deal on Air India. I haven't heard much about this airline, and I hope that we don't regret booking the flights. I guess we can't complain $525 round trip from Newark is hard to find. I just hope that I am not too uncomfortable afther the long flight. At 6' 3" I need a little more room than most.

Keith and I will be staying for 2 weeks and we have rented an apartment in Le Marais.

Carol is staying for the whole month (lucky stiff) and she has her own studio. She is only a couple blocks from us and we hope to have lots of fun together.

We can't wait to get there.

There's lots of planning to do before we leave.

There are so many things to see.
